Jury Duty Update

So my Jury duty experience was cut short as well as Cody and Crew's Boy's day. So after sitting in the holding room for an hour and a half they moved us to the court room for the actual selection process. The Judge explained that we were dealing with a drug possession case and from the moment he said it I couldn't help but think, this person is so guilty. it is so obvious if the cop found it on her it is possession, DUH!

So they lawyers had 25 of the 43 or so of us sit in the jury seats and they asked us questions, of course, I get called up to the seats. There were a few people who were excused because they new the prosecutor or they had similar cases going on in their own life's and felt they could not be fair in this case. A few had been excused for hardship of the case going for a few days. Through all of this questioning I tried to think of how I could be fair in being able to think that there was a way for this woman to possibly be innocent. But it just seemed so plain to me and maybe, that is just me being closed minded or not trusting in someone how was accused of have drugs I don't know. Anyway the Lawyer asked if there was anyone who thought that they might have a problem with sitting on the jury panel and being completely unbiased. So I raised my hand and told him that right from the beginning I thought "yep, she is guilty!" and after a few more questions he and the Judge and the defendants lawyer decided that they would go ahead and excuse me. The Judge said maybe they would call me back up if there were a theft case or something like that.

So I got done at about Noon. So we got in the car and went into Brighton and did some shopping had dinner and got Cody a new cell phone. All in all not a bad day.

One more thing tell me what you think.
One of the questions the Lawyer asked was, "is there anyone who's Religious or personal beliefs would prevent them from judging another and serving on the jury?" So my question is if we are told, "judge lest ye be judged" but we are also told to obey the laws of the land and jury duty is our civic duty, what do we do?

Just Crew and I

With me working all the time its not very often that I get to be home alone with Crew, but today I get that chance. Annie had to go to Jury Duty today, so I got to take a day off work and stay home with Crew!!!! We have a fun-filled day planned out. Get up and eat then play around some then take a nice nap followed by eating again followed by some nice play time which we will then encounter another nap and then some more play time. WOW What an exciting day. What a simple life. I love being home with Crew he is such a little character. I was worried a little because I thought that when he saw Annie leave this morning he might throw a fit, but when she was saying bye and went out the door we both thought he said bye Mom!!! It sure sounded like it.

WOW!! It is Freezing here in Fort Morgan

This post is by Cody:

Well I thought it was about time that I made another post. When I came to work this morning the temperature in my car said -2. Can you believe that? Sometimes I wonder how this boy from the desert survives out here in the cold of Colorado. Its kinda crazy how the snot in your nose can freeze from the time you get out of your car to walking to a building. I have heard people say that stuff happens, but until you experience it you don't really realize what they are talking about.

Crew has been getting into the cupboards and cabinets and such so now we have had to put the child locks on them. He is cruising around everywhere and wants to get into everything and eat everything. We were kind of puzzled because he would not drink formula or milk, but we finally got him to drink some milk!!! We just have to mix it with apple juice and he loves it. How gross is that!!!

Well that is my 2 cents for the day. Back to freezing my hind end off

Our trip to Utah

We just got back from our trip to Utah, we had such a wonderful time! We got to play with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma and grandpa. Crew also loves Sadie the dog he enjoyed "riding" her. Cody and I got to catch up with friends we hadn't seen in a long time and got to eat at places we had been craving like Taco Amigo and Cafe Rio.
We also got to go up to a cabin in the mountians just past Kamas up weber canyon, and have a little mini vacay on top of our trip to grandmas. We went snowmobiling, sleding, and palyed some nintendo 64 we had tonz of fun snowmobiling i had never gone and now i want some soooo badly. We did't get any pictures of us at the cabin on our camera so if I can get some from my dad I will post them later. We had such a great time and did not want to leave. On our flight home we had a seat between us so we let Crew sit there until take-off, oh man, he thought he was the coolest cat on the plane.
if you will notice we just discovered that Crew's hair is curly so we have been doing like this lately... i love it! he is so handsome.
Hope you enjoy the pics.
